What’s Happening Now in Jamaica

Jamaica is in the early stages of rebuilding after the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa last week. Crews are clearing roads, restoring electricity and telecommunications, and delivering essential supplies to isolated communities. More than 90,000 families have been affected and roughly half the island’s population remained without power initially. Local volunteers and international partners are working side-by-side to repair homes and roads.
